Appstore redesign
I gave a new design for Duda’s app store, in order to create a better experience and uplift CVR
Background
In Jan 2020 Duda launched its App store. The Appstore suggests fully integrated apps that can be added to users' sites, expand their offerings, and increase their revenue streams. When I joined Duda, in Feb 2020, the Appstore was already available in our editor.
Later this year, as part of the company's efforts to uplift AppStore CVR, it was decided to improve the design. The focus was on the popup that displays info about the app since there was a significant drop at that point.

Reaserch
First, I started by talking to stakeholders to better understand the problems and define the goals we want to achieve. Then I looked at other app stores - from companies that have similar products, to companies that have different products.

UX & Design
Equipped with insights and inspiration, I started sketching changes on the current design. I thought that by improving the typography, choose better images, and making better content editing, we will have a much better design. But soon enough I’ve learned that more significant changes are needed.
So I started sketching out possible layouts that can fit our needs. One of my first decisions was to change the format from a popup to a bigger screen.
UX improvements I made:
-
Changing the app’s pricing plans from a list to a comparison model.
-
Putting a large image on the top of the header.
-
Creating a side panel for all details and links.
-
Create an introductory paragraph on the header.
-
Making all content scrollable and the tabs linked to an anchor point.
-
Improve typography for the content and create a style guide.
